“Our Father shines his light on us in the darkness of this world, and nothing—no lie, no doubt or discouragement—can extinguish his light. We may be strangers in this land, but we are never alone.
Walk in the light of his love for you today, my friend.” Sarah
Sarah Van Diest writes with heart and soul. Her compassionate
personality comes from personal moments spent in the
dark.
A truly courageous woman…
Looks for God in the darkest moments while opening her soul to divine transformation where darkness becomes light…
Courageous women:
• Give God room to reshape dark, inward circumstances…
• Hang a welcome sign outside their door, reading: Compassion flowing freely, here!
Sarah Van Diest is my friend and a courageous powerhouse for God.
If you are privileged to meet Sarah, in person, you might be
blinded by the beautiful way she wears Gods brilliant light.
How she gracefully offers hope and compassion to others
journeying through a season of darkness.
GOD IN THE DARK, Sarah’s (newly released) 31 Day Devotional, reminds us how we are NEVER left alone in the darkness.
This powerfully written book encourages us to look for God while in the dark and reminds us how God will illuminate our darkness with understanding of all that HE says we are.
Perhaps you had NO idea, all that you are to God…
Thank you, Sarah, for enlightening us!
You are…
Loved (1 John 4:19) Fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) An Image bearer (Genesis 1:26) God’s workmanship (Ephesians 2:10) Crowned with glory and majesty (Psalm 8:5) Equal (Galatians 3:28) Beautiful (Ecclesiastes 3:11, NIV) An heir of grace ad life (I Peter 3:7) A friend (John 15:15) A gift (Psalm 127:3) Valuable (Matthew 6:26) Full of imperishable inner beauty (1 Peter 3:4) Flawless (Song of Solomon 4:7)
Perhaps, you struggle to believe there is any ounce of good in you? Or, that God is good?
How can he be when life seems so ominously dark?
God In The Dark, brings to LIGHT the most precious gift we have direct access to—
THE GOD OF LIGHT—Jesus Christ.
He sees us, never leaves us, he is always near. When we muster the strength to cry out to him,
stop hopelessly wandering in the dark alone, we will experience the radiant warmth of his spirit
singing over us with love.
Illuminating every dark nook and cranny of our shattered hearts, our broken dreams.
I only wish I’d had access to Sarah’s book when my brother died. It’s power. Beautifully
inspiring.
I personally went through one of the darkest seasons. Grief wrapped around me like a
suffocating blanket of hopeless.
I’m thankful for friends who prayed, wrote letters, and reminded me as Sarah Van Diest so
eloquently reminds us of brighter days ahead, in her brilliantly written book, God In The Dark.
Thank you, Sarah!
Here is the world.
Beautiful and terrible things will happen.
Don’t be afraid.

Sarah Van Diest is a writer and editor. She’s the mother of two boys, stepmother to three more, and wife to David. Sarah wrote this book as letters to a dear friend whose life was turning upside down. She’s done this for years for numerous friends and will continue to, Lord willing. It’s her gift to them. It’s hope written down.
